Flash Class

Filed under: general — Miyoko @ 9:44 pm

I love my Flash class. First assignment is to animate a photo of me, and I drew Gene Simmons over my face. Too bad, I can’t post the finished animated version.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Filed under: general — Miyoko @ 4:09 pm

I’m not a fan of commercial holidays at all. However I just saw this on the way back home, and I thought it was really romantic. I also found an interesting article about what Japanese women do for Valentine’s Day.

Yesterday I went to Home Town Buffet by LAX. I wasn’t sure what I was thinking, but I chose the restaurant for a quick lunch. It was such a depressing to see bunch of overweight people who are ready for another heart attack. I sure got sick from eating such a greasy food, but I’m impressed with the fact that they got a domain name, buffet.com

Sakura Mochi.

Filed under: general — Miyoko @ 6:23 pm

Went to Rose Bowl Flea Market for the first time. There were many many Japanese shopping vintage clothes. I’m not a big fan of vintage or antique stuff, but I ended up spending over 2 hours just walking around.

In the afternoon I went shopping in Little Tokyo. There was a guy demonstrating Japanese sweets called Sakura Mochi, so I got a couple to try.

Monkey Bread 2.

Filed under: general — Miyoko @ 5:55 pm

So, I had the monkey bread last night.  It tasted just like a dinner roll, less butter and kind of dry. In short, nothing special about it.
