Columbus Day Confusion
I’ve been living in the U.S. for 6 years, and holiday dates are still unclear to me. Most of my friends had to work today, and one of my friends had a day off. I went to the post office, and it was closed. Ahhh! I finished one of the promo poster layout, and I have one more to do, then 3 Flash ads.

Well I’m Canadian, and we celebrate Thanksgiving today. We get the day off, but I’m not exactly sure what we’re supposed to be thankful for???

You can pretty much trust that any post office or will be closed on a national holiday. Other places of business will depend on the employer. Government employees usually get the day off, I think.
It’s confusing for me too sometimes, and I’ve lived in this country my entire life.
